NOVELIS selects ARO for aluminium welding solution

NOVELIS, the leading producer of flat-rolled aluminium products has chosen ARO welding technology for the assembly of aluminium sheets in their Shanghai laboratory.

The use of aluminium alloys has become more and more widespread in the automotive industry to reduce the weight of BIW (Body in White) vehicles and in China this demand is accelerating with the development of NEV’s (New Energy Vehicles).

To support their automotive customers in this transition, NOVELIS, the leading producer of flat-rolled aluminium products, needed a reliable and economical welding solution.  After conducting tests with other suppliers, NOVELIS China turned to ARO China’s office, based in Wuhan, to conduct testing. After very conclusive results, NOVELIS selected the ARO weld solution.

Jacky Raimbault, Managing Director of ARO China, said: “We are very proud to provide the NOVELIS group with a welding solution that fully meets their quality expectations. For aluminium welding, ARO China also has a solid reputation with local customers such as NIO and its suppliers, who recommend the ARO weld solutions in terms of reliability, performance and robustness.”
