Showroom and Lab refurbishment completed after two years
The refurbishment of our visitor centre and welding laboratory has been completed following a two-year development programme and significant investment.
Totally transformed the revamped layout features the very latest ARO welding solutions in over 250 m² of floor space.
With a focus on technological innovation all the featured equipment can be seen in actual operation:
• SERVOLINE, our revolutionary servo actuated manual welding station.
• Two complete ROBOTIC welding cells tailored respectively for steel and aluminium welding with both manual and stationary welding guns and tip dresser equipment.
• ERGOWELD, our mobile welding machine totally dedicated to MBR repairs and industrial welding applications.
The new showroom also houses a large meeting space perfect for respecting the current restrictions on safe distancing between the attendees and a giant touchscreen to facilitate exchanges when discussing your current and future welding needs.
Take a tour of the new ARO showroom, our dedicated, one-stop resistance welding centre of excellence.
The welding laboratory is equipped with a fleet of modern welding stations integrating all of ARO’s latest welding innovations under one roof.
A total of 10 stationary welding machines, using several technologies such as AC & MFDC power sources and servo & pneumatic actuators, all ready to perform spot welding, projection welding and seam welding trials on every type of material.
The entire fleet is linked to ARONET Studio 6 for programming and welding data acquisition.
Dr Patrick Legall, head of the ARO weld lab:
“The transformation achieved is a great example of how we have listened to our customers and responded to their needs to create space that works for demonstrations and tests . The new welding equipment allows us to increase the quality of our trials and combined with the upgrade of numerous analysis tools such as pulling machinery and metallographic materials, we can carry out accurate and fully documented trials for every type if process. This new laboratory is testament to our knowledge, and to meet today's welding challenges."
During the pandemic ARO have been sending samples direct to customers and with the assistance of audio and video meetings on the preferred Zoom platform, solutions can easily be agreed.
ARO is already welcoming customers to the test facility, but at the same time adhering to today's strict health and safety directives.
