Electric welding guns can be equipped with a force sensor to measure the force at the electrodes so that it can be controlled and/or adjusted before and during the welding cycle. The force sensor offers the following advantages: compensation for wear phenomena, improvement in the efficiency of the motor by compensating for its increase in temperature.
